Orbone® Cell and Tissue Bank eCOO® Technology is successfully audited to provide products to global markets by Tissue Bank, USFDA, ANVISA and other European authorities to ensure quality compliance. The Netherlands Tissue Bank conducts these inspections one-to-one and completely at the Orbone® Tissue Bank facility.

Orbone® bone tissues are exposed to high pressure by using scCO2. This is called “supercritical processing”, where the CO2 comes to a phase between liquid and gas. Regardless of the volume of the tissues, after transforming CO2 into the supercritical state it acts as selective extraction solvent and ensures the extraction of the lipids from the tissues.

Clinical Applications

Infected synostosis of the bones is treated with Orbone® eCOO® Clean cancellous chips. Orbone® eCOO® Clean cancellous chips also were used for the treatment of both malleolus and chronic osteomyelitis that developed after multiple surgeries for heel bone fracture.
